Conor McCormick, Head Professional

Conor McCormick was appointed Head Professional of Newcastle West Golf Club in 2006. 

Originally from Belfast, Conor completed his PGA training at the prestigious Royal Dublin Golf Club before taking up the role of Teaching Professional at Haywards Heath Golf Club, West Sussex, England.

Through these previous appointments, Conor has acquired extensive teaching and retail experience and has now succeeded in bringing his own brand of high quality customer service and expert golf coaching to Newcastle West Golf Club.

Conor has 12 years coaching experience and offers comprehensive teaching packages, including individual or group video analysis lessons, junior training camps, beginner startup classes and adult education classes.  (See Golf Coaching)

Bart O'Brien, Assistant Professional

A Limerick native, Bart, who comes from Dooradoyle in Limerick city, began playing golf aged 17 at Limerick County Golf Club. 

He has competed both locally and regionally and obtained noted success at club level including winning monthly competitions and inclusion in Limerick County Golf Club's Senior Cup and Barton Shield team.

Bart's professional career commenced at Birr Golf Club, County Offaly, and he is the most recent member of the team at Newcastle West Golf Club.

Since turning professional, Bart is still awaiting his first overall title, but has been rewarded with top-3 finishes and many top-10 placings in the PGA's Irish Region competitions. 

He will be instucting on junior courses and offering coaching to players of all ages.
